Edward Sanders, a seasoned policy and external affairs leader, joins Bass Public Affairs as a Senior Public Affairs Associate. Sanders will provide public affairs and government relations support to Bass Public Affairs clients.
A proud native of Mississippi, Sanders has worked in Washington, DC for the last 13 years. He began his career as a correspondence analyst at the White House. He then joined the U.S. Department of State as a legislative management officer and served as the Acting Director of the Congressional Liaison Office and House of Representative Affairs Office.
In addition to his government service, Sanders has worked as a political and fundraising consultant. Following his passion for empowering the next generation of leaders, he has most recently worked for two of the most prominent higher education non-profit organizations in the United States.
